Those of you who know me know that I have a deep love for my hometown Missoula, Montana. There’s nothing like it. If we could live there now I would be there in a heartbeat. I spend close to a month there every summer and it’s THE absolute best place. As Matt Baack says “I live and work in Missoula, Montana, not because it’s the manufacturing capital of the world or because there are great opportunities to “make it big,” but because:
Matt crafted a beautiful concrete thermal with a cork bottom to protect surfaces. No Ice, No Water, No MESS! Thermals are the only wine chiller that keeps your wine at the perfect serving temperature.
- Hand-crafted thermals protect your wine or champagne bottle, while retaining optimal serving temperature, any time of year, inside or out.
- Elegant, chic, clean design for entertaining.
- Portable, durable, eco-friendly.
- Customize or personalize: Logos, Pictures, Names, Dates etc…
- Stick the thermal in the freezer for 30 minutes and your wine will remain chilled for AT LEAST 90 minutes
I am a huge wine fan. Drinking wine at the perfect temperature is such an enjoyable experience and this thermal makes it all possible anywhere. It’s gorgeous to say the least. It is so perfect for days at the beach, dinners, cooking, picnics, pool days… literally everything! We use ours constantly and adore it. It is engraved with my beloved home state of Montana as well as our name and wedding date. It helps make the moments spent with friends and family even more special.
Not only does Angle 33 make a standard wine thermal but they also make a pinot thermal ($64.99) as well as a champagne thermal ($74.99). They also make an array of other fantastic products such as beer thermals and concrete planters. All are engravable and would make an enviable gift to most anyone for any occasion.
What is so incredible to me about this company is that it is manufactured entirely in Missoula, MT. It’s a family owned business. They focus on LEAN manufacturing, which means every part of the production process that doesn’t result in the creation of value for the customer is wasteful and should be eliminated. “Value” is defined as any action or process that the customer is willing to pay for.
Not only do they focus on LEAN manufacturing, they recycle their water using a 3 unit 55 gallon drum system. 100% reusable forms for all products. Recycled cardboard for packaging. And they keep it entirely local by sourcing as many materials as possible from Montana.
One of Matt’s goals is to provide Missoula, Montana with “…proof that we still can and should foster manufacturing here, in the United States.” One of the results of his efforts is the Angle 33 Concrete Wine Thermal; which he refers to as the “perfect wine house.”
